Comprised of Dana Schechter (bass, lap steel guitar, synthesizers) and Ashley Spungin (drums, synthesizers), Insect Ark's intensely visual music weaves interludes of fragile beauty with crushing passages of swirling doom, spinning like a backwards fever dream. This album is a wordless song, a hypnotic voice that screams and whispers from a place deep in the furrows, from the bones, from the blood. Defying easy categorization, their uncommon sound is in part the amalgamation of these two women's passions: Schechter's sinister bass lines and unconventional use of lap steel guitar (and her complete omission of electric guitar), and Spungin's lucid, exacting drumming and synth work with her own hand-built analog noise pedals (Ormus Electronics). With the two halves of the band residing on opposite coasts, the album was largely skeletal in form upon commencement of recording. Overdubs and further writing/arrangements were done after Spungin's return to Portland in the isolation of Schechter's home studio. The sense of distance and vast emptiness remained intact in the songs, built out over many long nights. These songs of displacement, loss, and isolation are personal journals of that time period, as both members found themselves simultaneously experiencing existential crises. However, the album also tells a story of strength and determination, made from the marrow of these two women, a song for all things that struggle to survive.

Was looking for glacier sunglasses, at a reasonable price, and polarized. I found these and bought 4 pairs, one for each family member, for an upcoming trip. Glass look great! They are lightweight, polarized and have the side shields we needed. But, they are huge! All four must be returned. They don't fit any of us. It's a shame...they are perfect, besides the size. But glacier glasses must fit snugly to the face and these are far, far from our skin.

The Best Sunglasses

I was hesitant to purchase these at first. I'm so glad I did, though. They are light-weight, comfortable, and super stylish. I work in the desert, so the side guards are very helpful in keeping the sand and dust out (not entirely, but they help). I will absolutely purchase again.

Best battery bank I have used so far

Omg I love this thing. Ordered one from Anker and it took a few days to get to me. Loved it so much I ordered two more from Amazon due to shipping speed.
I also own the larger version of this with the retractable cable and kept it as my primary battery Bank.
The device is small enough to easily fit and comfortably hold in my pocket. It's super fast charges my phone with its retractable cable which is insanely useful. The digital display on it is perfectly designed.
I currently use three devices consistently throughout my entire day that require recharging. This battery bank is insanely useful.
The difference between this bank and the others comes down to a few things. Really good brand name as Anker has made some really good products over the years. The retractable usb-c cable is absolutely a game changer. The 10,000 mah battery can charge my phone twice before needing to recharged. It's a small cube and for me I can easily just throw it in my pocket or if somebody was to add a metal clip they could just clip it to their clothes and forget about it. I travel a lot so you have no idea how awesome it is to have a device die and simply just plug it in to the bank and continue walking without having to find a power outlet. If I could suggest anything he would be for the brand to conclude a clip that we can use so I could clip it to my backpack. Well that's it
