This is the first of a new generation of the industry standard, DARK Dante/AES67/Ravenna interfaces. The DARK DAWN range of interfaces are multichannel analogue and AES input/output devices intended to be installed in a studio setting where front panel operation and appearance is important.

INPUT/OUTPUT
The DARK DAWN 1616M has 16 analogue inputs, and 16 analogue outputs. The inputs are mic/line/ 48v switchable. These are available on the rear panel via DB25 connectors.

The 16 mic amplifiers have been carefully designed to allow gain control with minimum impact to noise levels. The circuits are very low noise, using high specification digital converters, and have very high headroom.

FRONT PANEL CONTROL
Channel gain can be adjusted directly from the front panel. This can be the level of the incoming mic/line level audio or the output levels of the channels coming from the network. The DARKDAWN 1616M uses front end mic gain and not digital mic gain.

LEVEL METERING
Each channel has a permanent 4 segment LED to indicate level. When a channel is selected for adjustment it is also highlighted on the 18 segment main meter for fine level adjust.

FRONT PANEL
The front LED panel is machined from a single block of aluminium with no screwheads or connectors visible. It includes 16 individual channel meters, a single hi-res meter for setting individual channel level and a 1/4” headphone socket for the monitoring of all input or output channels. Loss of network or power supply is reported by GPO.

REMOTE CONTROL
The DARKDAWN 1616M can be controlled via GlenController or via any compatible .json application. The control command list is available on request.

NETWORK INTERFACE
The network interface is available with primary and secondary connections on both copper Ethernet and vis SFP fibre slots. When not in redundant mode, these connections can operate as a 4 port hub.

ALARMS
Alarm outputs are available on Phoenix connectors. These will offer a closed contact for loss of a network connection or loss of a power supply.

POWER SUPPLIES
Power is from twin multimode AC supplies on IEC connections. The power supplies use load sharing for further extending the lifespan.

Memories of the Camino
Format: Paperback
First off, I have to say that my husband and I know Angela, the author. We met her because she is a neighbor of my sister, living in Hawaii. We discovered that she planned to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela the same year we were (2016) ! On a visit to Hawaii, we met with Angela and did a little local hike together. She was so enthusiastic and had prepared well. We, too, had been reading up and watching videos, getting suggestions as to what to bring, how to deal with physical issues and weather, what to pack and what not to pack, etc. Still, for anyone doing the Camino - whether the WHOLE 500 miles or doing the required 100 km to get the certificate at the final destination: Santiago de Compostela, Spain - it is a very personal endeavor. Reading Angela Leslee's book gives you the personal story of her "camino," and it is captivating. The changes that take place in her life - the discoveries she makes, the people she meets, the failures she feels, the fears, the habits that get broken (such as food choices!) - all make for an adventure that is life-changing and an interesting read. For anyone considering this pilgrimage, because that's what it is, this book will inspire you. You don't need to be part of a "group." You don't need a lot of plans. You do need to be prepared to be changed. The memory for myself and my husband is that it is the best shared experience we have had together in our 50 years of marriage! Angela's book brought back so many wonderful memories for us. I highly recommend this book.

Feeling Inspired!
Format: Paperback
Reading "The Way of Love" has inspired and encouraged me as I plan for my first (solo) Camino. I thank Angela Leslee for being unafraid to bare all the emotions in her book: the joys, victories, setbacks, disappointments, and pain. It's evident that "The Way of Love" was a labor of love as page after page recounts the 500 miles she walked! I told the author in an email that, in September, when I walk my Camino, I'll be sure to be up and out on the trail "...before sunrise when the yellow street lights cast their magical glow." Can't wait to experience that! "The Way of Love" -- easy to read and enjoy.

the good, the bad, the funny, the reality
Format: Kindle
A great memoir of an “older” woman walking the Camino de Santiago alone. Alone but with many friendships along the way.

An Honest Tale
Format: Kindle
When someone you know writes a heart-felt story of a journey of self-discovery, it's startling to realize how little you knew of their self. Walking the Camino across Spain in 40 days of pain and revelations, Angela takes us on an epic journey into her soul. She marvels, delights, laughs, and cries at the breath-taking scenery, the scents of forests and fields of flowers and grasses, the fellow pilgrims she meets and re-encounters across the 40 days. Day by day we travel with her. Her account of everyday life on the journey is vivid. I recommend this book to everyone who has been, or wants to go, on a voyage of self-examination, who wants to question why they are living in the way they are. Maybe life could be different, if one took time to try a different way.
