Does your life seem like a never-ending parade of problems? Have you ever wondered, "What's there to live for?" Have you ever felt like, "No one even cares about me"? Have you found yourself crying out, "Where are you, God?" Or do you ever wonder why there are so many empty pews when Christians claim to have the answer? Author Ruth Shira found herself asking these questions and realized that her hurting soul searched for a down-to-earth God Read her story and discover for yourself the One who wants to walk with you on your journey. "What a sweet story of faith in the life of a real woman, living a real life. I couldn't put it down." Ruth Graham, Author, In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart "Refusing, with her child-like faith, to allow her life to be defined by broken dreams, the author, Ruth Shira, found a loving God who more than made it up to her. By extending this God-given, resilient strength to many young and struggling native missionaries around the world, she gave rise to hundreds of sons and daughters among the nations, all who lovingly call her 'Mom Ruth.' How do I know this? I am one of them." Bo Barredo, President and CEO of Advancing Native Missions "This is more than one woman's story. Rather, it is the journey of a person, who-from my experience-has a clear channel to God. Therefore, it is the Lord's story of His leading Ruth through valleys and deserts to mountain tops of resurrection joy." Pastor Harold DeRoo, Founding Pastor of Rolling Hills Community Church (Sister Church of Dr. Robert H. Schuller Garden Grove, California)

You're a chump
The most unique thing about Malcolm X is he never wrote anything, he simply spoke the truth and that alone has proven to withstand the tides of time because his words are still fresh as ever. His speeches always find a way to get to your spirit and makes you rethink the world you are living in. After reading this book, i forget which speech it was exactly, he mentioned something about negores not knowing their history and it was up to them to go forth and reconnect with their homeland. This led me to wonder where I came from. Even though I am not black, I felt as if he was speaking directly to me and this is the kind of power he had. he made you look upon yoyurself and force yourself to ask, "Who am i? And Do I really hate myself?" Racism is still an issue in this country. It has not gone away and malcolm X was never afraid to point out the hypocrisy of the system I was taught to honor and defend. Surely, not one the best books on his speeches out there, but nonetheless powerful enough to get you thinking about the injustice we face everyday. A man who taught you how to be a human being in the end of his life. Today, more than ever his words should never be forgotten.

Malcolm speaks from the heart
"If George Washington didn't get independence for this country nonviolently, and if Patrick Henry didn't come up with a nonviolent statement, and you taught me to look upon them as patriots and heroes, then it's time for you to realize that I have studied your books well..." Malcolm X It is statements like this that make me love reading about Malcolm X. His intelligence, charisma and courage emanate from his words. He inspires, challenges and provokes his listeners to change their thinking. Not only does he challenge others, but he challenges himself to constantly analyze, to constantly evolve. Malcolm X Speaks is an excellent read, from cover to cover. If you want a good idea of where Malcolm was heading before his untimely death, this is the book.

A beautiful mind
Malcom had the capacity to express his ideas in such an eloquent and smart way. This book is proof of that. I'm studying this great human being and now I consider this an essential book for anyone, any race, any place or gender that are looking to open their minds. Definitely a must read for any person.
